Filter Pro provides advanced filters to the Video Pro software package.
Local Contrast Enhance
The Local Contrast Enhance filter improves contrast details in both dark and bright areas of an image. For example, an image that contains large dark, shadowed areas can be clarified. Increasing brightness, a standard clarification technique, can cause some image details to be washed out. However the Local Contrast Enhance filter is used to clarify image details without washing out details.
Unsharp Mask
The Unsharp Mask filter enhances image details without exaggerating noise. Details appear sharper after processing. A video with low SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) can result in significant noise. Using standard sharpening techniques can further exaggerate noise. However, using the Unsharp Mask filter can enhance detail without exaggerating noise.
Homomorphic Filtering
The Homomorphic Filter enhances images with both dark and light areas. A video may contain some regions that are dark while others are bright. To equalize the lighting and clarify the image, use Homomorphic filtering.
Motion Stabilization
The Motion Stabilization filter stabilizes video from sources with excessive camera motion, such as dash board cameras and shaky hand-held cameras. You can also use the Motion Stabilization filter to track a moving object.
Security Demux Splitter
The Security Demux Splitter filter can sort scenes from a multiplexed video and all scenes can be simultaneously recorded or viewed during one pass through the video stream.
